BALANCED ATTACK LEADS CURWENSVILLE OVER ECC
ST. MARYS -- The Curwensville Golden Tide got touchdowns from four different players and kept pace with the rest of the Allegheny Mountain League South Division contenders with a solid 26-8 win over Elk County Catholic Saturday night at Dutch Country Stadium.

Joe Bennett and Ryan Bilger scored on 3- and 6-yard runs respectively while quarterback Jim Thompson tossed TD passes to Nate Irwin and Mark Records covering 23 yards and 16 yards.

Curwensville (3-1) is tied with Brockway, Cameron County and Johnsonburg for first place in the AML South. Elk County Catholic dropped to 1-3.

Bilger led the Tide with 133 yards rushing on only 10 carries. Curwensville rushed for 227 yards and outgained ECC, 289-147, limiting the Crusaders to only 77 yards rushing on 30 attempts. *
